Extraction Unit Charges
The new Extraction Unit at Hurst Farm is a fantastic facility functioning as a training venue to ensure that members are familiar with the range of equipment available to aid extraction – and (most importantly) how to clean and maintain it. All training sessions are absolutely free of charge.
But once members are fully trained in the use of the Unit, a charge is levied to satisfy the requirements of the Charity Commission and also to demonstrate fairness across the membership. After all, those members who maintain their own extraction equipment and use their domestic electricity can’t be expected to subsidise folks taking advantage of branch facilities.
The biggest cost of the Extraction Unit is electricity, but cleaning materials and equipment maintenance are also expensive, so a modest charge of £9.00 per day is levied for private use of the Unit.
